A new logo for an old company
01-05-2011 [Ben Hanrahan] [Permalink]It is not uncommon for trademarks and logos to evolve as the underlying company expands and/or enters new markets. As an example, in order to better suit its expansion into a wide array of business lines and markets, Starbucks felt it no longer needed to confine its logo to "coffee." The new wordless logo is shown in the illustration below, which also presents the evolution of the Starbucks logos over the years. From left to right, the logos were introduced in 1971, 1987, 1992 and 2011.
